Description
Our high end UL Listed silicon coated, waterproof, UV proof, and flexible Ribbon Star LED strip provides a perfect light source for many exterior / outdoor lighting projects. Each 118" (3m) roll is easy to use and comes with waterproof connectors, male on one end and a female on the other end. It also has many quick connection options for easy connection and use. Has 3M™ VHB™ mounting tape on the back, for the best long-term mounting solution. 3 SMD LEDs per 2 inches with a total of 180 LEDs, which require 14.6W of power for 118" strip (1.46W per foot). This LED ribbon tape has the perfect brightness for ambient lighting, stair and step lighting, fences, eves, gazebos, decks, backlighting, and many more outdoor lighting applications. Extras include 10 clear plastic screw down holders, 4 closed end caps, 4 end caps with holes for wiring, and a waterproof connector to bare lead wire for connection to 12V power source. Each roll requires a 12VDC Constant Voltage power source. 6000-6500K color temperature, UL Listed for class 2 luminaries and fixtures, RoHS and CE approved.

James asked: Jan 2, 2015 I want to run the Ribbon Star lights around the base of a fountain. The run length is about 13 feet. I want to buy one 118" strip, cut it into a few pieces (say 4) so that I can distribute the lights evenly around the fountain, and then attach end connectors so that I can wire the individual strips in parallel to a single power supply. Will this work? Ecolocity LED Responded: Jan 5, 2015 James, yes this is possible although you will have to cut, solder and re-waterproof the strip light yourself. The parallel connection to the 12VDC source would be perfect, you will need at least 16W of 12VDC power for our Ribbon Star Strip Light. |
